BOX Blog Sessions: Understanding the Loneliness Pt. 2, with Tom Moriarty
Last week, I unintentionally wrote something that connected with a lot of you here at GFi. Namely the concept of loneliness in our industry and what it actually means. Whilst I in no way expected such a reaction, I feel nonetheless like we have tapped into something special.
So, I’ve been racking my brain on how to continue this and I could think of nothing better than giving you a true & honest insight into my experience with The Loneliness. As you all know, I coach and speak from my own experiences, with the belief that if I can better myself then maybe others can do the same through shared knowledge.
Thus, I present today, the inner workings of a mind that to outside sources seems calm and in control.
Part blog/Part truth.
What I want you to understand is that we all share the same thoughts, more or less. It is our willingness to speak openly and connect with others that will determine if we are to have a healthy mind.
Together we are unstoppable x
UNDERSTANDING THE LONELINESS, PART 2
You should just stay in bed. Sleep it off. Ignore that bit of sunshine coming in, the dark curtain will take care of it. Stay in bed. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.
I wonder if that project is going ahead.
They probably chucked you. Didn’t even tell you. You were so fat in that movie. Disgusting. You’re fucking useless.
Useless. Useless. Useless. Pathetic.
No. I want to be happy. The sun looks so nice.
Sleep. Just sleep, you can get the sun later. Sleep.
You know you’ll never achieve those dreams right? You’re going to fuck it up. Guaranteed. I guarantee it. You probably have fucked it up already and just didn’t know. Sleep though, it will make it better. Sleep.
I feel a bit better.
Hah. No you don’t. Liar. You’re lying. You are. That pain in your head? That’s death. It’s coming for you. That ache in your heart? Death is a coming.
I want to...
You are LYING. Just sleep. Nothing can get you when you sleep.
I should talk to my friends.
They hate you bro. All you do is let them down. You know this. Failure. You are. Accept it. Failure.
I’ve achieved so much.
Yeah. So what. Failure. Faillllllllllllllllllure.
“Hey, how are you?”
“I’m fine."
